Hi, my name is DJ SG. I enjoy watching sappy movies, eating carne asada fries and meditating on the beaches of San Diego. Oh, I also DJ from time to time. Come find me so we can drink and be merry together. Keep dancin'.
If you're looking for a hookup at some of the hottest spots downtown, give me a holla! Even if I'm not spinning, I might be able to get you in. All you gotta do is ask.

About Me:
I didn't start actively DJing on two turntables until 2002, but I've always been flirting with music since an early age. As a child, I'd pretend to be a radio DJ along with my now world-famous break-dancer cousin Win (of BHAM Tribe). I created dozens of mixtapes using a dual deck cassette player/recorder up until I got my first CD burner and a magical thing called the internet. I made mix CDs for all my friends and even started a nice little business through high school.
My first DJ "gig" happened in the summer of 2000 where my friends asked me to DJ a house party. I grabbed my music library and rocked a party using CDs and it was pretty damn successful. And then I was shipped off to San Diego for school thereafter.
I picked up a pair of Stanton turntables two years later after my best friend Irvin and I decided I should give DJing another go. By then I was already playing around with beats and lyrics and production... it only made sense I try the DJ biz. 6 months, a lot of practice and a ton of money spent on vinyl later... I played my first full party for my friend Elaine on Halloween. As Borat would say, "GREAT SUCCESS!"
I did small parties here and there and offered my services to a great number of college student organizations including DVC (Deejays and Vinylphiles Club) where I picked up more practice and knowledge and through the Multi-Asian-Student Association I found Kingsley Ma, with whom I found Blackout Entertainment .
Blackout Entertainment was founded in 2004 to provide the best DJ services a student budget can buy... At the time, it was all about having fun and perfecting my craft. We eventually caught the attention of several promoters, of which the most notable was Climax Entertainment , who offered Kingsley our first regular nightclub spot in the Gaslamp of San Diego at Ole Madrid.
Over time, I built a reputation for myself and began working independently from Blackout. Through the contacts I've made I've been able to work in several of San Diego's hottest nightclubs and have even broke into some Hollywood spots.
And the story continues on... I'm still trying to perfect my craft, I'm still having fun... where does this story end? Who knows.... in the mean time, keep dancing and let's all have a good time.
