2008 was Justin Marxs' breakout year. The love of music, networking, and creating new personal relationships with peers is what drives this Orange County native, now San Diego dj. Playing alongside dj's such as DJ Frances, DJ FishFonics, Jack Tripper and DJ Schoeny, Justin Marx brings his vocalized electronic style to the decks. Justin Marx can be seen at various hot spots throughout San Diego and is ready to blast his unique style through the speakers to your ears.
Electro House - combines the four to the floor beats commonly found in House music with harmonically rich analogue basslines, abrasive high-pitched leads and the occasional piano or string riff.
Dirty House - a derivative of electro, which is often much more commercial in its appeal and in general features more vocals.
As the electro house scene began to rise so did JMs skill in the art of djing. In 2004 JM moved to Vegas to expand his horizons in the nightclub market. Until this time he only played at “house†partys throughout Orange County with hand me down Gemini’s and a half-working mixer. This was the start of something new as well as a great learning experience.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Rubber the Club @ Seven - February of 2005 through June 2005 - Promoter & Nightclub Host - After interviewing with John Huntington & the owners of Seven Las Vegas, he was introduced with a promotions job. This was a great experience to see how the LV club market worked and opened up many contacts which he still has to this day.
Sin @ Sahara – June/July of 2005 - Open DJ Nights -First experiences in a club setting, club closed shortly after.
From late 2005 to mid 2007 JM moved to San Diego, had his first daughter, started a new career, and upgraded his equipment.
