STRANGE CORNER (new cd out soon on Casket Records)

Strange Corner formed in 1993. After several line-up changes, in 1995 the band decided to auto produce a demo tape containing 6 tracks. The 500 copies were quickly sold out. In the same year the single Animal Rage was released in the We Bastard Motherfuckers Vol.1 compilation by Aostas label Blu Bus Records.During the following years more pieces were released for various Italian and foreigner benefit compilations. After achieving a noticeable musical maturity and stability, in 1998 the band went to Turin for the recording of the full length Schism. By this time the 5 members came down to 4: Lele at the guitar, Brush at the bass guitar, Caio at the drums and Pacci at the voice. The CD was released by the label Vacation House Records from Biella (Indigesti singers label) and it received a successful feedback; thanks to this album and especially to the positive reviews on Italian and European fanzines, Strange Corner started a series of concerts in Italy and countries abroad, also playing with important international HC bands. In year 2000, a 7 split containing 4 tracks was released: 2 pieces were from SC and 2 from the German band The 4 Sivits; one of the SC tracks was an inedited piece. This time the number of copies went up to over a thousand. In 2001 the second CD The Flight was released in the USA by S. Francisco's label Beach Records. This CD will bring SC to America that August for a 14 dates tour on the East Coast. In January 2002 the same CD had been released in Italy by Vacation House Rec., with a different cover and different title: Price to Pay. From 2002 until 2005 the band promoted the album with several tours around Europe.At the beginning of 2006 Strange Corner started to write some songs for the new album.During the summer of 2007 a new member was added to the line-up: Jacopo Carlotto.The bands that SC most remind us of are Sick of It All, Turmoil and Unearth. Some tracks are in English, some other in Italian: the lyrics are about society matters and personal experiences.The 5 guys ghave recently signed with Casket/Copro records for their new cd "Human Society" that will be out in spring/summer 2008
