Ray (Il-Hamiemu)

Been a Drummer for these past 25 years. Currently playing with X-Vandals, Subculture, Abstrass & The Bristles. Music is my life. Playing in 4 different bands with different types of music is a big challenge.
X-Vandals music genre is 80's old school thrash metal/hardcore.
Subculture music genre is anarcho punk.
Abstrass music genre is punk.
While my other band The Bristles is a Maltese Tribute Band to the legendary The Beatles.
Seems preety strange to play all these different types of music, but surely its a challenge and I believe that with a lot of dedication, support from family and friends and with music running in my veins all obstacles are overcome and music gives a lot of satisfaction.
Since I was younger at age I was a lot influenced by big drummers such as Peter Criss (KISS), Jon Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN), Eric Carr (KISS), Eric Singer (KISS), Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Doro and many more bands he played with). The latter I had the honour to support during the Black Sabbath Concert in Malta way back in 1995, while at that time I formed part of Lord Adder and subsequently had also supported Girlschool, Iron Maiden, Smokie and Saxon.
Every rehersal is a means of learning new things about drumming and hopefully I will pass this on to my daughter Karen, who started playing drums at the age of 5, and she's a great fan of all my bands!!

These above tracks shall be available in a compilation CD. More details and information shall be available in due time.
Recording on Subculture new CD's "Resist The Abuse" is finalized. Our 3rd CD was launched on Friday, 31st August @ Remedy, Paceville together with my other band Abstrass who had supported Subculture. The CD is available for sale at our gigs or you can contact us, for only Lm 2.75 (Euros 6.41) & all income shall be invested in a project with the aim to raise animal awareness in children aged between 4yrs to 10yrs.
Also X-Vandals few remaining merchandise, my other band, are available too.
Recording on Subculture's 4th CD "Revolt" has been finalized on Saturday, 9th April. Revolt shall be containing 7 tracks and includes our new female vocalist Ramona. Revolt is a blend of new talent, ideas together with me and the other Ray, besides Ramona's subtle voice together with our music fits perfect. More updates and information shall be available soon.
