If you dont remember me, my name is Michael, I'm Angie's nephew. It's been a while, and i've been wanting to contact you. I'm into music which you inspired. Man it's been a long time i know. Last time i seen you i was just a little kid. I ran across a picture of you standing next to your GTO with your guitar and there's me right next to you. You'd be happy to know that I am a musician myself. Ever since I played those drums in your's and Aunt Angie's i have been into music. I play drums, a lil guitar and bass, but for the most part I play piano and sing. I'm having trouble thinking of what to say to you cuz this is sorta sudden and i have wanted to get ahold of you for a long time. My "Uncle Mark" as I used to call you when i was little. If you could do me a favor and call me at 586-***-**** so we can catch up on old times. Yeah, you might recognize the number thats Grandpa Joe's number. I live with him now and i take care of him. But anyway I hope things are working out for you musically and personally and i hope to hear from you soon.
THIS WAS FROM MY NEPHEW MICHAEL FROM MY FIRST MARRIAGE - I WAS THERE WHEN HE WAS BORN PREMATURE AT 5 MONTHS AND HAD THE PLEASURE OF BEING AROUND HIM UNTIL HE WAS ABOUT 9. HE WAS THE SWEETEST AND MOST AMAZING KID - ALWAYS AN INSPIRATION TO ME. NOW I AM FLOORED TO FIND THAT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, I HAVE BEEN AN INSPIRATION TO HIM!! THIS REALLY BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE. ROCK ON MIKE!! I ALWAYS BELIEVED IN YOU BUDDY.

*** "MARK MARSHALL...GUITARIST EXTRAORDINAIRE...THE EDDIE VAN HALEN OF ACOUSTIC GUITAR!!!! - GUITAR WORLD MAGAZINE" *** WWW.MYSPACE.COM/ACOUSTICSTORIES
MARK MARSHALL WAS BORN AND RAISED IN CLEVELAND, OHIO. NO WONDER "CLEVELAND ROCKS", AS THE SONG GOES.
MARK FORMED A BAND CALLED "ARSON" AND DURING THE LATE 80'S AND BECAME A RISING STAR IN THE CLEVELAND AREA. FROM 1988 TO 1991, MARK WAS GUITARIST FOR THE BAND "CITYQWEST" WHICH TOURED WITH BANDS SUCH AS "D.C. DRIVE" AND "EDGAR WINTER". IN 1992 MARK FORMED "ALIMONY" WITH SCOTT BIGGS ON DRUMS, KEVIN CARABALLO ON VOCALS/GUITAR, AND JEFF EDWARDS ON BASS. THIS WAS ONE OF MARK'S FAVORITE BANDS TO BE INVOLVED WITH: "I WAS AT THE PINNACLE OF MY PLAYING ABILITY AND WRITING. ALIMONY WAS THE TRUE ROCK-N-ROLL EXPERIENCE - THE EXCESSES, THE FREEDOM TO DO WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT, FALLING OFF THE STAGE DURING AN ACID TRIP...GOOD TIMES!!!!! LOL!!"
MARK JOINED "SADDLETRAMP" IN 1994 AND TOURED IN PROMOTION OF THEIR CD "GET ME OFF OR GET OFF ME". THEIR MUSIC WAS IN ROTATION ON 102.7 FM "Z-ROCK" AND SADDLETRAMP EVEN PLAYED LIVE FOR A BROADCAST NATIONWIDE ON THE "Z-ROCK NETWORK" ON NEW YEAR'S EVE IN 1995 AT THE I-ROCK NIGHTCLUB IN DETROIT, MI, BEATING OUT SUCH BANDS AS "ILLEGAL" AND "MARSHALL LAW" FOR THE HONORS. DURING THIS PERIOD, MARK BEGAN WRITING & FOCUSING MORE ON THE ACOUSTIC GUITAR. IN THIS INTERVIEW WITH 101 WMMS FM RADIO IN CLEVELAND, MARK EXPLAINS: "IN 1997 I DECIDED TO BRING THE CONCEPT OF AN ALL ACOUSTIC BAND TO THE DETROIT AREA CLUB SCENE. IT IS REALLY COOL, PEOPLE CAN LISTEN TO MY ORIGINALS OR POPULAR COVER SONGS IN A MORE INTIMATE ENVIRONMENT. THE AUDIENCE ENJOYS BEING ABLE TO FEEL LIKE THEY ARE TRULY A PART OF THE SHOW NIGHT AFTER NIGHT RATHER THAN HAVING THEIR EARDRUMS BLASTED FOR HOURS BY AN OVERCRANKED ROCK BAND. DON'T GET ME WRONG...I LOVE TO PLAY MY LES PAUL CUSTOM THROUGH MY OLD 1973 MARSHALL SUPER LEAD STACK, BUT THE ACOUSTIC EXPERIENCE IS A LITTLE MORE FULFILLING FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED."
THIS FIRST ACOUSTIC BAND MARK FORMED WAS CALLED "THOZE GUYZ". COPYCAT BANDS SPRUNG UP ALL AROUND THE DETROIT AREA AS MARK'S CONCEPT CAUGHT ON. MARK MET A SINGER DURING THIS TIME NAMED MARIA WADE AND A PERCUSSIONIST, DELANEY RAGLAND ("D-LOVE"). THE TRIO OF MARSHALL, WADE & RAGLAND FORMED A BAND CALLED "KINDRED SPIRITS" AND EVENTUALLY EVOLVED INTO "ACOUSTIC STORIES" AFTER ENLISTING GUITARIST/SINGER CHRIS ST. ONGE.
ACOUSTIC STORIES IS ONE OF MICHIGAN'S BUSIEST BANDS. IN 2006 THEY PLAYED OVER 200 SHOWS AND HAVE PLAYED MUCH OF MICHIGAN AND CANADA AS WELL. FEATURING 3 SINGERS, TWO GUITARISTS, CONGAS AND RICH HARMONIES, THIS IS ONE ACT YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS.
LOOK FOR THEM TO COME TO YOUR AREA SOON!!!
