My name is Jon Powell and I am a 21 year old guitar teacher/lead guitarist from Pontypridd in South Wales.
I have been playing guitar for aproximatly 6 years and have been teaching profesionally for 4. In this time I have played with many different bands including a caberet band and a melodic rock band.
I am currently playing for a Ronnie James Dio tribute band called the NEON KNIGHTS and a metal band called INTERSTATE our my spaces are on my top 8 please check it out.
Virtuoso players have always been my main influance such as Eric Johnson,John Petrucci,Paul Gilbert and Joe Satriani. I also take a great deal of influence from singer/song writers such as Alanis Morissette, Joni Mitchell and Tracy Chapman.
