Well made movies, good literature and poetry, music, and two cups of tea with honey every morning. I'm not ready for the world without my tea. I'm not a coffee drinker. I just don't like the stuff. And I'm not a smoker. Both my parents were smokers and it just turned me off. They quit years ago thank God. I mean I know it's cool to sit in cafes and smoke and talk about the weighty issues of the world, but I swear I can do it all without the cigarettes. I had a boyfriend who smoked last year and he dumped me because he wanted a girl who smoked. At least that's what he said. It sounds kind of stupid. Maybe he was just letting me down easy. Maybe I sucked in bed, or he was upset because I'm not a size 2 or he didn't like that I was taller than him if I wore heels. So he just said that he wanted to meet a chick who smoked. I guess I'll never know for sure. God, life is complicated.
Open minded, creative people into film, theater, fashion, literature, art, photography. Guys who think with the head on top of their shoulders, not the one in their pants. And please, no more e-mails asking why I'm not a blond. Enough said!
I'm not sure that lists here do anyone any good. I mean you have your taste and I have mine and mine changes every day, somtimes every few minutes. I like everything. And then I like nothing. Sometimes I'd prefer silence. And then I like everything again. Well, not so much country, but even some of that. I just finished working on a film about JS Bach, and I was surprised at how much I loved the music. It was really incredible. Talk about talent.
God, I haven't had time to see a film in months. The last film I went to was way back in January. My sister Ã…sa and I went to see Babel, and we both loved it. In a kind of darkly haunting way. Before that, I saw For Your Consideration and it sucked!
The original CSI, I hate the NY and Miami versions. I just can't stand David Caruso, and the NY version does a horrible job of capturing NY. I mean shoot the whole show here like Law & Order. It's not a sitcom for God's sake. I love Bones, Prison Break, and House, and I still like ER, and whatever happened to Crossing Jordan?
I recently finished The Lay Of The Land by Richard Ford, and Killing Johnny Fry by Walter Mosley, which as my best friend warned me, was basically a book about a guy having anal sex with as many women as possible disguised as literature. Next I'm reading Down And Dirty Pictures, which I bought the day it came out, but never read.
