"Spawned from the darkest recesses of depravity, Forsake The Flesh play a twisted hybrid of Death, Black, and Progressive Metal. Formed in early 2005, Forsake The Flesh spent the first six months writing all original material and honing their compositions. Their music is intricate and structured while retaining its crushing heaviness. Their songs are summoned forth from deep within the souls of its members, weaving together intricately evocative harmonies with violently brutal rhythms. Not written with regard to what would sell or what would sound radio friendly, each of Forsake The Flesh’s songs is a personal experience, immersing the listener into the inner workings of the musicians themselves. The songs are thoughtful and infused with feeling, and range in length from four to ten minutes, transitioning rapidly and without warning from one style or time signature to another, while maintaining a flow which keeps the song sounding intentional, smooth, and seamless."
