About Me

Ever watch Scrubs? Right now, as a physician resident, my job is similar to JD's or Turk's position, only I practice internal medicine. Starting next year, I plan to work as a hospitalist, solely taking care of hospital patients. If you have a pesky sore throat, I'm not your guy. On the other hand, if you are coughing up big, gelatinous pieces of greenish-yellow sputum and can't take a few steps without becoming unbearably short of breath, then come check me out.

When I was a medical student, one of my patients created a rather amusing name for me. One day, a rather dishelved patient complained of having "black stools," and I told my supervising physician that I carefully examined the patient. Somewhat skeptical, she asked: "Did Malik really give you a rectal exam?" "You mean, goldfinger over there," the patient replied. "Yeah, he gave me a rectal exam."

When my fingers are not covered with brown goop, I lead a pretty basic life. When I am not working a gazillon hours a week, I enjoy reading, exercising, partying a bit, and spending time with my girlfriend.
