In 1999 Matt was first introduced to the wonders of electronic music. The Sounds of "Castles in the Sky" and "Hardcore Vybes" caught his ears and he instantly fell hypnotised to them. He, as every other "raver", began his search for "parties" and "raves". In 2002 he finally found his way to "Earthfest". From the moment he entered the party till the moment he left only one thing ran through his mind. He wanted to be a dj. In 2003 his friend Drew Blair expressed intrest in spinning and introduced Old-z to the wonders of the "turn tables". There at Drew's house, he fell in love. From that moment on, spinning records was what he wanted to do. In late 2003 - early 2004 he began to seek out Djs in his area, getting as much expert advice he could gather (while spinning at their house on every visit). As if by chance, he met the Djs Identity and Mr. Niceguy. Identity, for some reason unknown to him, took an intrest in Old-z, as he was an upcoming trance dj. Giving him 12 records she didnt use, he took them and immediately begain to practice. He continued to buy trance records left and right. With help from Mr. Niceguy, who ever so generously gave Old-z his first pair of decks, he begain is uprising. Old-z made his first debut at the renound party "Skyscape", spinning a total of 2 hours. Since then Oldz has been aiming high and pushing the limits within EDM. Forever pushing himself positivly with new creative ways of performance. From the Northeast, to the midwest, Oldz has raised the roof and torn apart venues with his flawless sound of Hardstyle. Having been featured on international radio stations and shared decks with some of the biggest names in the Northeast, Oldz creates an atmosphere of his own, and a sound so unique, you will come begging for it.
