The Scorpions, Devo, Undertones, Tom Waits, Clash, Neil Young, really for-crap old ELO and Rush, Joan Jett, The Runaways, Glenn Gould playing Bach, Kool and the Gang (sometimes), MC Solaar, Morcheeba, Metallica, Brazilian Funkyness from the 70's, most anything that could be described as Cheese with a good beat Jorge Ben, Ben Folds, ABBA, Rush, Ramones, The Seeds, Cibo Matto, Cheesey 70's funk, Mahler, The Damned... it kinda goes on and on...

Master and Margarita, Master and Commander The Deptford Trilogy, Reef, Orwell/1984/Winston and illicit sex outside the walls of the city, that ol' fascist TS Elliot and Prufrock, Robert Graves, pretty much anything about sailing, old navies, history, anthropology
