That Memphis Kid, a.k.a. The Mayor of Blackhaven, born and raised in the streets of Memphis, TN. He first started writing lyrics at the age of 15. As the years passed, he honed his lyrical skills. After graduating high school in 2003, he relocated to Huntsville, AL to further his education. His time away from home has given him a greater appreciation of his hometown. As a result, he has given himself the name "That Memphis Kid," so that everyone knows where he represents. He soon hooked up with fellow rapper Nice One and began to create beats for himself, Nice One, and later fellow rappers G. Will and Shrimp. It was during this time That Memphis Kid discovered his true passion for rapping and producing. Hoping to soon start his own label and to be recognized as one the best rapper/producers out of the South, no, one of the best rapper/producers period, That Memphis Kid continues to push his lyrical and production ability to the limits and beyond, striving to become a legend among rappers and producers across the globe.
