Man, the dope's that there's still hope.

About Me

You know that guy that can get things? Cigarettes, pencils, somebody killed. A man of influence and a shady sort of power. One part know-how and three parts whodunnit. The guy your friend means when he says "don't worry, I know a guy." Imagine if that guy reformed and opened a daycare that featured Ralph Ellison performing spoken word on the jukebox.Like a child I am happy, I am never idle, and I cry for everything I want. Like a thief I work at night, I love my coworkers, I will risk my life for treasure, I do not attach much value to things, I can withstand a beating and remain who I am, and I believe my work is worthwhile and will not change it.

My Interests

Writing, reading, talking, listening, performing (singing, acting, stand-up comedy), movies, music, media, books. Enjoy forming friendships and creating community. I like fishing, but haven't been since I moved to Austin. I like walks, but rarely get to take them. I like smoking, but understand why I shouldn't. I like eating and drinking, but think neither should be done in excess. I like ideas, even those that I don't agree with. I like the black and the white and the grey residue it often leaves. I love people, and I love the God who created them.

I'd like to meet:

Someone who'll give me a framed photo of themselves and insist that I hang it on my living room wall.

Music:

This week I'm listening to: 69 Love Songs by Magnetic Fields, Victory For The Cosmic Muse by The Divine Comedy, Devils and Dust by Bruce Springsteen, Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman, and 1999 by Prince.
