About Me

Mom says: Stay cool - we hit a heat index of over 100 yesterday and will today and maybe tomorrow. Just like it was the year you were born. When we took you home from the hospital that Monday, it was over 100 and stayed there for most of the week. I held you most of the time anyway. Pop was painting Gale's house up the street, but had to keep coming home to look at you. I sat with you in the rocker on the back porch of the apartment at Railroad Place and read Faulkner and drank lemonade. Esther from next door came out every now and then. On Sunday, Grandma, Grandpa, Joyce, Granny, Gay and Bobby came out. You were born on a Sunday. Sunday's child is full of grace.
