"YOU ARE NOW LEAVING THE STATE OF DENIAL..."Life is my canvas and I’ll paint what I want. Contrary to popular belief, I began like anybody else... A single, relentless soul searching for a purpose. Luckily, what I came to find early on is that what I am looking for can not be found in any tangible form. The world as we know it relies upon a constant balance, a steady balance that we can not perceive with the greatest technologies wielded by human hands. You can leave the Earth on a rocket and stare back at something foreign, study it from afar, and not perceive how you came to be here, looking back at the past. You and I exist because one moment in time and space begot another and then another...but before you or I became, there was just space and there was just time. What we know of time or space is limited to our human sphere of intelligence on Earth. Earth, which began as a block of elements, battered and bruised to imperfect perfection by time and space. Where life struggled to exist, and still struggles to exist. Earth, which crushes the dead until the two become one, until the dead become oil, and are then desecrated with their ruthless extraction by the undead-- by humanity. And so the lowly living of this world-- the plants and animals that once flourished harmoniously, and that give us the vitality that we so easily cheat them of as though we deserve it-- can not rest even in death and are used to finance our deadly sins. And thus the planet reeks of death, literally polluted with it. We step quickly on a frozen pond, but with no grace, leaving threatening cracks in our wake. What does she know that we don’t? Are we so Eve-tempted? Or just ignorant in our vanity? Questions that we actually know the answers to, though we continue to look for excuses. There is much to learn from studying the clouds, making slow but steady progress across the sky, changelings rearranging and endowing inspiration to the patient onlooker. Some of us will be fortunate to witness the awe-inducing mountains that only time beyond our grasp could move into place. Some of us will be unfortunate to witness the desolate future of our careless errors in the harsh scarcity of the deserts. The Earth sings us to eternal sleep with its melancholy song. And as life as we know it began on Earth, so it will end when the sun-- that seemingly distant engine in the sky-- dies, swallowing us in darkness. Faith comes in many shapes and forms. Judgment comes in only one form. If you worry about where you are going, you should be advised to worry about how to get there first.I’ve already shown you my heart. But since that’s never good enough, I have chosen to show you my innards--to prove I am human--through my music, my art, my actions, my faults, my sins...I am a renaissance woman, born innocent and toughened by life. I don’t expect anyone remains innocent past the age of learning betrayal. My life consists of my health, my education, and my family. No, life has not been easy. I don’t expect yours has been either. I speak 5 languages going on 10. I wish I spoke every language, but I can live knowing you don’t need to utter a word in order to understand pain and sadness, love and happiness, anger and envy, humans and nature, evil and goodness...If you have actually read to this point, thanks!
