Bio:
Monica, a New York based artist who started her career early on with her musically oriented family. Her Mom An Opera and Gospel singer could be found performing at places such as "Carnegie Hall", and "The Metropolitan Opera." Monica started her career traveling and singing with her family in churches beginning at the age of 5. Monica says "music is just in my blood, I feel I was born to sing." Throughout her life she has had amazing opportunities, such as singing on the "Queen Latifah Show" for a contest and won the competition twice. Monica had the pleasure of singing at the Nations Capital and The Apollo Theatre. You could find Monica frequenting many NYC night clubs such as "The Blue Note" and countless others. Monica does not want to be classified or labeled. She has been influenced by every genre, and is passionate about her versatility and unlimited style. Not only does she listen to, Contemporary Christian , R&B, Gospel, Rock, Country, Jazz, and Opera, she absolutely enjoys singing it!! And says, "An artist should feel free to sing any kind of music they are feeling at the moment." This is why she admires the artist Prince. "He's brilliant" "You never know what he'll do next."
