From the pop-up toaster to the remote control and even the first music synthesizer built by RCA in '53 society has been drawn to those things that miraculously transform our way of life.
With the advances in technology comes with it, the strong undercurrent of fear that it could somehow go terribly wrong.
Now in a more modern age when the lines are becoming increasingly blurred between the organic and inorganic, that fear is near mythic proportions.
MY RICH FRIENDS addresses that fear in track #6 of the Tourgasm Soundtrack with the song Everything You Wanted. Their electro-industrial sound is a fitting motif to address this fascination with the possible overthrow of society by technology over time.
