OG SICKFLICKS [by TOUCH]

Sickflicks.com originally premiered on 4/20/99, the very same and unfortunate day of the Columbine shootings. A sick reminder of the world we live in, meant no delay in the publishing of the site. Intended as an online portfolio for L.A. Photographer "Touch", it quickly took shape as a portal into a lifestyle. It was the beginning of a new era, all of sudden people wanted to look like us, be like us, sound like us. Touch riding along with Bugsy & rain~~~* from Criminals Family had Los Angeles in a scope. We covered every event big and small, from hip-hop shows to backyard bbq's, we were there! Touch had flicks that faithful west coast hip-hop fans were dying to see. Sickflicks.com hadn't only caught the attention of hip-hop fans across the globe, but the performers themselves were tuning in to check out coverage from their own events. Hits poured in from the four corners and helped pioneer a new type of dotcom. "We didn't do it for a living, we did it for a lifestyle" says Touch of OG Sickflicks. The site ran for about 3 years before the lifestyle we were trying to capture, captured us. A lack of updates, lead to a lack of interest and the site was eventually taken down. Sickflicks.com was followed up by a growing number of personal websites, myspaces, and all those others we cant live without. The decision to bring Sickflicks back was not an easy one, but I must say it was inspired by a new generation. Ten years ago we had the homies tuning in, now we have the little homies! Touch in conjunction with graffiti artist "One" and tattoo artist "Cazm" have set out to bring Sickflicks back and let me say, its a monster this time around! These dudes are gorillas in their trades and eat, sleep, and bleed this shit...so its no surprise that they make an ill team. We threw the OG on there as a reminder to those who were around, and for those who don't know...we are the original! So stay tuned and come take a ride with us. Its gonna be ugly!
