Steven met Paul at a friends 17th birthday. They probably would not have even noticed each other if they weren't wearing a shirt printed with a massive dead bird on the front. With the starting conversation being mainly about a brand of clothing, they came across the topic of their favourite bands.
They seemd to have the same taste in music. Steve mentioned that he played guitar and Paul said that he had just got a great new drum kit for his birthday. They stayed in touch for months and months talking of one day starting a band. The day came where Paul came over to Steve's and sat behind a drum kit and belted out a very familiar beat. To the tune of All The Small Things by Blink 182 the band Skylene Drive was formed.
They had only one problem, a bass player.They searched and searched but could only find guitarists. They enlisted the help of a friend from another band that was slowly falling apart. He was a guitarist, but owned a bass and said that he would join. Matt joined and Skylene Drive was complete.
