Howdy, my name is Bob, all that you need to know about me is that I was burned in a car fire when I was 15 months old,(only survivor of 3) I am 1/4 English,German,Dutch,and American Indian. I am 29 and was adopted when I was 3, my Bio Mom is top rank in the National Guard, and my Bio Dad lives in Detroit, and as far as my adopted family they are Christians and dont have much in common with my way of life. I am a Buddhist more then anything and am a man of many arts.
Electronic music is the only thing that has never let me down, it is my wife, my life, my soul, and the reason why I wake up in the morning.
Jubaka is my old DJ name which was derived from a dream I had as a kid, its about when I was a Jamacian Shaman w/ Powers to control the weather, and also was able to telepathiclly transport anywhere in the world, the word Jubaka was what I named a "certain" plant since it was new to the land and like no other of its kind. The dream was so vivid and strong I just couldnt resist. People always confused it with Chewbacca (the hairy alien from Star Wars)and the two rhymed, people would miss spell it constantly!! so I changed it to Jukebox(since so many people always wanted requests, started to feel like one), I still prefer Jubaka though. And way back in the day I was known as Jitterbug(candykid name), since I never stop moving on the dancefloor, dont wear the braclets anymore but the image is still cool.
Currently I have been DJing for 7 years, however I have been involved in the rave scene since I was 18, and have been studying electronic music since I was 16. I am very much into becoming a Graphic Designer,have had a printing press and screen printing job and have a combination of 25 credits in it at GRCC and Kendall College of Art & Design. Right now I am strictly doing studio work/working on demos,upgrading my equiptment to keep up with the changing cutting edge era, and going out to the occasional party/event, for now promoting is where I feel most comfortable,useful,and needed. Clubs that I have spun at are:The Old&New Intersection,The Orbit Room,The Highlander,Club North/The Breakroom,Lana Lu,Tiki Bobs,Drink Ultralounge,The Attic,Club Fuel,Make Believes,Cadillac Jacks/The old MazeCraze,La Stanza,Suite 101 of Chicago(closed),The Chicago Dr. Pub,an outside event at Veterans Park Downtown GR,Barn Yard Keg Parties, and some crazy cd dj gig with DJs to Go in a crazy little town located in south Michigan called Goble and an afterparty in Traverse City,Battle Creek,and where ever else in Michigan Im forgeting. Also I have performed on WOCR 89.7 in Olivet Michigan,more house parties then I could ever remember,and raves in Kalamazoo,I sure do miss Bank Street & MazeCraze. And yes those five tracks on this site are in fact myself mixing - For Promotional Use Only. Presently I am working on 15 Minutes Of Fame Volume 6 which is going to be Industrial, this mix is taking longer then most since i dont have much material right now,looking for more techo based industrial,been doing my homework on it, and am gonna start reading up on it now, dont worry people i am working on this mix and cherish the sound it creates, Volume 7 will be released next year and will be peak hour trance.. thank you to everyone in advance for all of your influence and support, its not about one style of music its about everyones style of music
