Route of the Belated

folk. meets beat

About Me

Route of the Belated is 28-year-old danish songwriter lasse vestergaard. This is scandinavian folk meets beat. Former recordings includes two independent releaeses in Denmark: Tracks (2004) and Viva!...and then some (2005). Both placed Vestergaard in a position that clearly showed the talent and the direction of a young and fast growing artist. Music magazine Geiger wrote about the last album: “Something as rare as a completely well written folk- singer/songwriter album released in Denmark (...) All in all Vestergaards album seems to be, if not pioneer and boundless, then at least a very original, personal and qualified idea of a late modern folkmusic – and pretty visionary”. He is well toured in great parts of Europe and in northen parts of the States, where he has supported such names as José González, Tiger Lou and Jesse Harris. The Route of the Belated is a recording project with producer Gæst Vincent. The album is expected to be finished summer 2007. For more info, reviews and good stuff visit: www.myspace.com/lassevestergaard and www.lassevestergaard.dk
