El Lay is my lady

About Me

I am an exile in Mommyland – Park Slope, Brooklyn – among the literati-on-the-make, the double-wide baby strollers, the pot-smoking teenage delinquents, the sexy little Latinas, the Mexican delivery boys whizzing by on their bikes, the jazz cats who blow the Balkan boogaloo, and the mole-proles in their blue MTA uniforms come topside to cluster over their milk-white sugarsweet coffees at 4 a.m. at Donuts Diner. I follow the philosophies of Mr. Gardner White, who waves a cigar before his grubby white T-shirt, belly arcing in a soft comma over his loose dungarees, and says: "Hey, fella, have you got a quarter for a cup of cawfee?"Check out my scribblingsNew York Sun, Time Out Chicago , Paste , Print , Stomp and Stammer , and more to come ...Profile edited with: CricketSoda Myspace Profile Editor
