About Me
I have been playing piano for most of my life. Classically trained, I performed as a youth on Radio, TV, and many Concerts before moving into electronic music and playing/programming analog synthesizers in 1973.In Los Angeles, I played on many Albums for Artists such as Grand Funk Railroad, The Pointer Sisters, Anne Murray, Michael Murphy, David Sanborn, Frankie Beverly and Maze and an Album with Andre Crouch which won a Grammy.I worked for many years with Richard Druz Music in Los Angeles where we wrote and produced over 700 national spots for products such as Suzuki Jeeps, Mitsubishi Cars, Hawaiian Punch, Britannia Jeans, Levi's Jeans, several Frito-Lay products, Barbie, Hot-Wheels, et.al.I also Composed, Produced, Arranged and Performed several Film and TV scores, including "The Initiation" for Bruce Landsbury and "CBS Children's Theater" which ran for 10 years.One of the highlights of my tenure in LA was performing in the movie "Carrie" starring Sissy Spacek. I prominently appear on camera during the infamous prom scene playing keyboards.After moving to New York City, I began working with Tony Smythe and Co. Here, I wrote and produced national spots for Chevy and Ford Cars and 3 years of the CBS "Winterfest" Sports Series.I Composed, Performed and Produced the score for the independent films "A Cup of Coffee" and "The Masterpiece".I started the Blues band "The Shades" which performed throughout the New York tri-state area. The band recorded a CD titled "Darker Side of Fun" which was produced by myself. This CD made it into the top 10 of all CDs submitted for the International Blues Challenge, Best Self-Produced CD award, 2005. This contest is held by the Blues Foundation which governs all the local Blues Associations throughout the world.At the end of 2005, I started The NRG Band with Nicole Hart and Vonnie Hudson from The Shades and during the summer of 2006, we recorded our latest CD Live!NRG.The band performs regularly throughout the NY Tri-State area and just completed a very busy summer playing various festivals, concerts and clubs.
