About Me

JOHN ANDERSON ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John Anderson was raised on Beatles and Motown and anything good on the radio in the 60’s and 70’s. He found the electric blues at an early age in Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Cream and started playing the guitar at age 13. In his late teens he then discovered the styles of Albert King, BB King and then the blues / jazz of Miles Davis and John Coltrane. John is a well known and talented musician who plays throughout New York and Long Island. His creative guitar playing works well with Sweet Suzi’s range and energy. John’s ability to transform his style to suit the music has made him one of the most sought after guitarists in the New York area.THE BAND~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you've ever wondered what "New York blues" is all about, this is "IT"! The tough, “take that!” attitude of this band is addictive. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist, "Sweet" Suzi Smith, this band is known for its energetic and riveting live performances. Suzi's, sultry, yet powerful vocals are backed by a band of extremely soulful musicians (Johnny Anderson, Tim Glum & Tom Foschino). The band pulls from their roots in blues, funk, rock and jazz, which when fused together, form the complete blues experience. When these musical fronts align, the forecast is the “perfect storm of blues". Sweet Suzi, and the band promise to stimulate every die hard blues fan who is tired of hearing the same old stuff. Their original music is raw and intense blues magic made up of guts, growl and sheer emotion…blues perfection. For the second year in the row, Sweet Suzi and the Blues Experience was crowned Long Island’s 1 Blues Band when they won the regional chapter of the International Blues Challenge (IBC). The band has also become a favorite of Long Island’s WUSB 90.1FM.I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts! Myspace Graphics
