Vincent McCallum is a musician and songwriter based in Portugal, who fuses blues, folk, rock and traditional music with African beats. Vincent performs with his band The Code. More info to follow soon.The past couple of years have been quite interesting for us, both as a band and as representatives for other artists in this part of the world. After touring in Belgium, Scotland, England and The Açores, The Code then played some first parts in places like the Pavilhão Atlantico, the Aula Magna, the Harley Davidson Rally in the Algarve, the Alfândiega Porto, the CCB, the Fabrica da Polvora, San Joaninas festival etc. Fran is back from Spain and Lohtar has finished his work at the FNAC in Lisbon so we will probably start writing some new material in the not to distant future, I and my partner Frédérique Geron have been working in our company, JDO Productions promoting artists like Fish, The Musical Box, Marillion, Off The Wall, Lisa Doby, among others here in Portugal and in the Açores. Our latest album 'Scottish Roots Portuguese Heart' which we recorded in Scotland with producer Stuart McLeod for Blooming Generation Records will be released in the UK and will be distributed by Townsend Records and other online websites shortly. Our EP that we recorded at JDO in Tomar is also available at the FNAC Portugal and on our website, entitled 'The Code = 6'.
