My Interests

Computers, Poetry/Lyrics, Boobies, Having a front row seat to the downfall of civilization, but the beer man doesn't come by nearly enough...being a subversive, and retaining knowledge that I wish I could forget. Also, dumbing myself down enough to tolerate the "really real world."

I'd like to meet:

Ummm, I've really met most of the people that I want to meet. All that's left is to meet my children when they're born, if that ever happens. Either way, I'm always down to meet new folks who have a unique outlook on life, and tell me I'm right... width="425" height="350" ..

Music:

Where to start...Rock and Heavy Shit: Tool, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Black Crowes, Cold, A Perfect Circle, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Deftones, 36 Crazyfists, Taproot, Hatebreed, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Soulfly, In Flames, Diecast, Soilwork, Metallica, STP, Anything involving Chris Cornell, and many many more that my drunken state won't let me recall.Classics: Led Zep, Beatles, Doors, Jimi, Credence, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Neil Young, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Buffalo Springfield, Al Greene, Marvin Gaye, pre 80's Stevie Wonder, Skynard, KISS, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, and anyone else that I supposedly "grew up on."Rap: DMX, 2Pac, Biggie, Bone Thugs, Three 6 Mafia, Lloyd Banks, Game, Young Buck, Dre, Em, Cube, Snoop, Eazy E, Lil Wyte, Do or Die, Twista, Nas, Luda, basically anyone who shows some real talent with words...Beyond that, I abso-fuckin-lutely despise pop, r&b, and what passes for country music these days.

Movies:

Movies about War, Gangsters, and Kevin Smith movies, minus Chasing Amy and Jersey Girl... .. width="425" height="350" ..

Television:

I only use TV to watch sports...the "shows" usually suck nuts. I don't consider HBO to be real TV, and I'll admit that I was even roped into American Idol this past season. However, can't miss shows are Sopranos, Deadwood, and Real Time with Bill Mahar, just so I can yell at the TV when it's not football season. If I really want to get pissed off, I can always watch the O'Reilly Factor and stew over how smug and hypocritical that asshole is...

Books:

Anything by Kurt Vonnegut, Irvine Welsh, and anything that has to do with past military operations. Tom Robbins has been someone I've been reading lately, along with Chuck Pahlaniuk. DOUG STANHOPE NEEDS TO WRITE A BOOK, BECAUSE IT WOULD, LIKELY BE THE FUNNIEST, MOST PROFANE, AND BRILLIANT COMEDIC WORK SINCE LENNY BRUCE WROTE "HOW TO TALK DIRTY AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE" I really dig non fiction, but the right fiction writer can stimulate my mind...

Heroes:

First and foremost, my father, for showing me what being a man is about. My mother for showing me at a young age what unconditional love really was. My sister for her determination. My brother for surviving. My wife for loving me, even when I don't deserve it.

My Blog

The Wagon (again)

So, again I find myself seeking sobriety.  It's not that I think my partying had gotten out of control, per se, but it was nightly thing, and that just ain't right.  Now I have to battle my ...

Planes, Turkeys, and Moving companies

Where to start... These past few weeks have been downright exhausting.  Since April 29th I have:  Wrecked my car, by hitting a turkey's ass with my windshield, causing $1300.00 worth of...

Bumper stickers

Have you ever taken the time to notice what stickers your fellow drivers put on their back bumper to warn/chide/encourage you to do.  They range from the driver's favorite band to whom they supp...

Something's missing

Or at least I'm missing something, or, in particular, someone.  I'm sure it's blatantly obvious as to the whom, since I'm here in KC and my wife is still in Phoenix, but it's growing maddening.&n...

New Year's drunken musings

Okay, so I'm on beer and football overload at this time.  I was getting ready to hit the sack, and this latest poetic venture just sort of happened... New Year's Day 2007 Redemption is the though...

An imminent return, and other musings

So, it's looking like, in the next few days I will accepting a job in Kansas City.  I will be doing techno-dweebie stuff at Aptuit, and being compensated for such techno-dweebieness at an almost ...

Sobriety

So, I'm starting to discover that not too many people like me very much when I'm drunk, but that even less like me when I'm sober.  What a positively maddening conundrum.  I'd like to think ...

One More Thing

I realize it is that time of year when stupid white people try to blow their digits off celebrating our Independence by using explosives mass produced in China.  What a great harbinger that is of...

Karaeoke Silliness

Okay, so I've become a karaeoke critic.  I've been frequenting the amatuer singing scene here in the valley, recently, and I must say, the majority of the people trying to do it, myself included,...

Help me name my new song

Okay, so my girly, Kendra and I are starting an accoustic project, which I hope produces some good shite.  I'm not really an accoustic type guy, but we made some headway on a new song today. ...
