Me? I'm scared of everything. I'm scared of what I saw, I'm scared of what I did, of who I am, and m

About Me

Well, I am 26 years old. I moved to the Kansas City, MO area mid-February 2006 from Oklahoma City. I was a student at the University of Oklahoma, but transferred to the University of Missouri in Kansas City. I am still a big Sooners fan though! I just changed my major over from Business to Sociology, and a minor in public policy. I will be attending law school next fall. I also work for a local political activist/business owner/attorney doing various legal, administrative, political and management duties. The best part: I get to do it mostly from home and around my son's school schedule!
I have a son who is 6 years old (Ethan). He requires a little patience as he is Autistic and unable to really communicate. But I understand him and so it works well for us! He has inspired me to create nonprofit childcare facility for children with disabilities. We are in the process of getting our nonprofit filing status. You can check us out at www.DITRDaycare.com. Your support and input is greatly appreciated!
I like to do a variety of things which includes, but is not limited to, dancing, karaoke, sports, outdoor events, artsy/cultural events, road trips/traveling, having a few drinks, movies, music, people watching and whatever else I come across.
I miss everyone back in Oklahoma but KC is slowly becoming my home.

My Interests

Music (especially live), sports (especially football and MMA), outdoors (fishing, hiking, camping etc), movies, road trips and traveling, dancing, reading, writing, people watching, artsy/cultural activities (museums, ballets, shows, etc)....Anything really. Don't know if you like something until you try it, within reason of course!

I'd like to meet:

JFK (if he were still alive), George W. Bush (so I could smack him), and God (because I have a lot of questions).

Would like to make some new friends in the Kansas City, MO area to show me around and hang out with! Oh, and if a decent man happens to stumble my direction, that would be cool too!

Music:

Rock, Pop, Metal, R&B, Alternative, Ska, Classical, Jazz, Blues, Dance, Techno, Rap (not gangster rap), Country (not new country) and everything in between.

Movies:

Too many to name, but here are a few: The Breakfast Club, Fight Club, Bound, Sixth Sense, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Roman Holiday, My Fair Lady, Moulin Rouge, The Lord of the Rings, Little Miss Sunshine...and so on...

Television:

House, Grey's Anatomy, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, American Idol, Brothers & Sisters, The Class, How I Met Your Mother...Of course, I don't actually have time to watch them all on a regular basis, but I do like those shows!

Books:

A Tale of Two Cities, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. I like the classics.

Heroes:

I shall be my own hero!

Life is short...

We fall into a comfort level in our lives, and as much as we may hate that spot, we can't seem to get out of it.  Not necessarily because it is an impossibility, but because we are scared.&n...

Unwritten...

We sit in silence, waiting upon each other to speak.  Our eager lips move, hence-the sound within is weak.  We stare into each others' eyes, waiting for a tear to form.  Not wanting to ...
