About Me

Formed in the latter half of 2006 Big Gun Baby are an edgy mix of post punk, new wave and pop rhythms with twisted and cynical lyrics that are simultaneously social commentary and drawn from personal experience. Despite the sordid subject matter their live shows are nevertheless exhilerating and uplifting with dirty driving basslines, angry soaring guitars and intense yet melodic vocals.
Jaycee and Graeme originally hail from London where they both featured prominently in the local music scene, Jaycee as an accomplished acoustic singer/songwriter, Graeme as a bass player in a number of successful punk and alternative rock bands. Upon meeting they formed an instant musical bond, their eclectic influences creating an exciting raw and fresh new sound. Autumn 2006 saw them pack their bags and head for America where they began writing new songs and defining their sound while recording their first album. After recruiting several local musicians they quickly received recognition performing After a successful year in America Big Gun Baby have returned home to the U.K., a full length album finished and eager to make an impact on the British music scene.

Dry Bar gig 03/05/08

So, we just played our 2nd gig here in the UK at The Dry Bar up in London...Quite a cool little underground venue with a great sound and good atmosphere, my only criticism would be that it's location ...
