About Me

Seán is a full-time Journalist with the Derry People/Donegal News. The songs featured on this website were sung by Seán and were all written by the very talented Johnny Schumann who also recorded all the instruments and backing vocals. On 9 March 2001 Seán moved back from Germany to go to Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology to study Radio Broadcasting. The highlights of his two years at IADT were interviewing Andrew Strong and also presenting a soul show broadcast throughout Dublin with Ken McCluskey, Michael Ahern (original members of The Commitments) and Joe Walsh (Lead Singer of The Stars of The Commitments) as his Special Guests. Seán kept on studying at IT-Tallaght, completing his BA Hons in Audio Visual Media in 2005. That was also the year Seán performed at The Odyssey Arena, The Point Depot and Millstreet (long story). Seán then returned to his academic studies completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism. Now, when he gets the chance, he mainly collaborates with Johnny Schumann, but hopes to get back into music on a more regular basis in 2007. Seán, the youngest of four children, grew up in Germany and moved back to Ireland when he was 19 years old. His mother Kathleen is from Belfast and his father is from Portstewart. Nowadays Seán calls Letterkenny and Anagaire in County Donegal his homes.
