About Me

Advina are a band that take the art of making music extremely seriously. Whilst their live shows are something of a dangerously unhinged spectacle, when making the music, the work ethic and concentration involved is impressive. Based between Chester and Lancaster, Dave and Craig have known each other since high school, and have been playing music together ever since. After a number of line-up changes, Alex joined on drums Oct' 06 and the three of them are now somewhat unseperable. The ambition and ideas in the band are huge, and now that the line-up seems solid, there's no turning around.
..............................There's a silhouette here that argues with the grieving wind, against the blood of the horizon, you leave your love behind. The field opens up as a wound might and dyes you in its solitude, long grass whispering amongst itself, but you can't overhear, whilst the winter birches turn their backs, and you remain with the shards of eclipse they left you with........
..............................Here the stream caresses your pupils, you no longer care. The desire grows back like amputeed vines, stroking and orphaning the asphyxiate tree...my mother sang to me, a gurgle in my throat, its saccharine pinch that drizzle's on the pillow, I am orphaned now myself. It is midnight in this crowd, and i long for some defeat, the spaces in the tiles grow back where limbs should. We are nothing in our suffering just you wait amen.........
..............................This retreat i beat makes me wonder. Shallow-eyed like a rehab pool.....but then surrender again, and again. wave upon wave upon wave upon wave. the sky leaves me a lonely request, but then again whatever's the point? Shiloh will always forget.
