The story began 1999 when Edvin Soleymanian (DJ Sole) was on a vacation in the Greek islands of Crete, where on a clubbing spree he was dared by his friends to hit the turntables which he accepted. Being musically gifted he showed tremendous potential and he soon impressed musical peers as well as club managers and promoters. 2002 Ed relocated to U.K this was the beginning of a neverending story.
This is where he stepped his game up and assumed the alias DJ Sole (the first four letters of his lastname). Being brought up in Sweden in a multicultural environment and with origins in the Middle East his musical ability started to take shape and his rumour in the Southcoast of U.K. soon spread as he was asked to play at top notch venues. Mixing and fusing an eclectic blend of Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, R&B, Reggae and Dancehall his trademark of being a versatile DJ amazed clubbers and set them into frenzy whenever playing.
Sole is the perfect musical tail as his ambition is to understand music and its elusive effects, the joy, the feelings, the beauty, as music has an indescribable effect on people through the ears of Sole. In the course of the past eight + years Sole has learned how to master the art of DJ’ing and is currently learning the art of beat juggling, and recently started producing his own music after many years he finally gets the beats off his chest. All the emotions, feeling, love, sadness is reflected in the music and when asking Sole if he’s a party DJ, turntablist or producer he replies;
“my mission is to break the barriers of urban music and always aim for the next level. First I came into djing, respecting each of my fellow djs, learned different styles but finally shaped my own now music is like life rejuvenating and so I shall practice it, constantly achieving and reinventing. My Producing skills aint all that, I got the music in my blood, played different instruments since childhood and what I have acheived to date I am truely proud of as it is a true reflection of ME. Lot of my inspiration come from great producers such as Dre, Primo, Dilla and many more, taking an element of each and making my own soundâ€.
