It all began in the city of Southampton on a night out when Dj Sole bumped in to Dj Stevo. It began with Sole shaking down to the music playing a wide mix of urban music stretching from the 70s up to current date. The passionate DJ behind the decks was Stevo, a longstanding local hero in the night life scene. Liking the style of delivery Sole & Stevo sat down and basically formed PlatinumFist. Their breakthrough gig was at Mono Bar in Southampton where Global entertainment brought them in as resident DJs´. PlatinumFist was formed Oct 2003 and has been a focal point of the night life out in Southampton. Playing at gigs such as B.I.G Duets album release in January 2006 and having top residencies around Southampton it has allowed the public to enjoy the distinct way of delivering the music. You can catch the PlatinumFist DJs around Bedfordpalce in Soutahmpton every week. Stevo spins the wheels of steel at Mono Fridays and Rhino Club Saturdays.
PlatinumFist music is a mix of Hip-Hop//RnB//Soul//Dancehall//Funk//Breaks//Disco
Its not about the music only, but the way its played and cut up. Dj Sole has a distinct ear and cuts the beats in his own way, which stands out from all other local DJs'. DJ Stevo has THE largest music collection that any well established DJ only dreams about reaching around 50,000 records.
Dj Sole originally hails from the city of Stockholm in Sweden, his DJING started professionally in the UK year 2002. Since then he has been playing in UK, Sweden, France and Greece. He has played at all top venues around Southampton and at all major gigs like B.I.G Duets album release, alongside Ronnie Herel from BBC 1Xtra (regular Southport DJ) and with other names around. He is now dedicating time to do remixes, producing beats and playing at larger Events.
Dj Stevo originally from Brazil has been serving music for over 20 years around UK and Spain. He hails from an era where Funk//Disco//Soul was BIG. Also mastering the skills of a break dancer he occasionally breaks away whilst Sole drops the beats.
Together they deliver the best nights around Southampton and complete each other.
