I am a 40-odd year old American nitwit living in Corsica, France. I write and record songs in my home studio, which I rarely leave( generally to eat or take a shower, every 2-3 days). I play guitar, bass, drums, and a bit of keys, sax, percussion, harmonica, banjo, mandolin and whatever else happens to be laying around. I do solo ac guitar/voice gigs and I've got a group that plays like a raging '70's dinosaur. My shoe size is 15.I started down this road to perdition at an early age. Grandma gave me a guitar when I was 14, and I've been hooked ever since. I lived in LA in the 80's touring and doing studio work (between long sultry days at Venice Beach and Pt. Dume).I came to France in 1990 ( I married a French woman only to realise, on arriving here, that France is FULL of French women), and have been here ever since.I did an auto-produced album in 1999 with my buddies Claude Le Peron ( bass ) and Meivy Jacquot ( drums ) under the name TREE-O. It disappeared without a trace. It wasn't because it was a bad album, the group just basically ate and drank all the proceeds, rendering impossible a follow-up ( no more money and a terrible indigestion ).Since moving to Corsica in 2002, I managed to convince bassist Damien Tristani and drummer Nicolas Filly ( who, at the time, knew nothing of my financial and gastric problems ) to form another group, which we aptly called Barfly. We play in bars. We hang out in bars. We eat in bars. Sometimes, depending on how late and how much, we sleep in bars. Sunlight make us disappear in a puff of smoke.In 2004, Michael Jones, a national act here, covered one of my songs, " Boogie Man ", on his solo album. The royalties are starting to come in, permitting me to buy various electronic widgits for my studio, TV dinners, and beer, a major source of my inspiration.I dabble in all sorts of styles, effectively preventing record companies from figuring out exactly who I am or what I'm up to. This has subsequently torpedoed any remote chance I ever might have had of landing a record deal. And so I turn to you.This is my story....PS.
