I'm always at a loss for words when someone asks us what we sound like. A little bit of everything I guess. Take a listen and see for yourself. We are truely a garage band in the literal sense. Everthing we have recorded is done by us in our garage. We may not be master engineers but we're learning and getting better. We just really love creating music. There is a rush and a giddiness you get when you come up with something new. One second you're just playing and this new song comes out of nowhere by accident. The only way to describe it is that it's like synchronicity. Or like something subconscious or spiritual just takes over for a few minutes and writes it for you. Whatever it is at that moment it feels like the best song in the world. I get real satisfaction from that. I'm an addict.We'd started this band a few years ago when I was home on vacation from Los Angeles visiting family. I'd been writing songs since high school and I knew Scott (guitar) for a long time already. We did a recording session and that was it for me. I gave up acting and moved back home from LA two weeks later and called him while I was already on the way home to tell him we were starting a band. He introduced me to John (bass) and Denis our former drummer. Really a great guy. Jesse (drums) came on later on when Dennis left the band and he's still here. The three of them had a band called Blue Black Hours and they still have it. They're really good. It's very different from James Road and that's what I like about it. As for James Road there's just something there between the four of us. There's a lot of creativity in the air when we're together and we're all pretty much on the same page so it works. Ben ..
