Drummer~Percussionist

About Me

Hector Torres was born in the musically diverse town of Tijuana, Mexico; where the U.S. meets Latin America and where one could easily see a true alchemy of musical influences from around the world. At a very early age, Hector learned that it was simply impossible to call one style of music his favorite. There was so much to hear and so much to learn. After making Los Angeles, California his new home at age six, he instantly began to explore new forms of expression using drums and or anything that sounded good after shaking or striking. In constant search of a new beat, Hector worked for many years in numerous projects in a variety of styles from Jazz, R & B, Salsa, Rock, Punk, Armenian, Brazilian, Folk, Iranian, Pop, to being a percussionist for a contemporary modern dance company.Hector has toured Europe and America and will continue to do so always on that quest for that new beat.
