THUNDERCOCK is a massive aural experience transmitted by classic four piece rock and roll badassery. Spawned in the wee hours of the morning and inspired by the sounds of science, the group combines the organic elements of jazz and 1970s era funk with the mechanical shudder belt-drive of rock.
Consisting of four good friends who love to indulge their improvisational whims with blaring guitars and rhythmic drums, Thundercock is "a roaring hydra" of evolving musical visions. Virginia Beach locals: Drew Orton, Jordan Parker, and Mike Johnson founded the band in december 2006. A year later Matthew Rogers joined the band and completed the ensemble with his unique mix of world music, percussion, and the haunting sounds of the musical saw. Thundercock is extremely passionate about creating a unique sound that expresses their musical vision.
