The LA Weekly says "The Beastly Bombing: A Terrible Tale of Terrorists Tamed by True Love (world-premiering at the Steve Allen Theater), is a striking concoction of urbane nihilism and Victorian charm. It could become a cult classic, a political valentine to the first decade of the new century.Read the whole article!

The only constant in this life is change. So, who I am right now is only passing. There are times when we really 'know' who we are and times when it's a mystery that seems to unfold like the layers of an onion. There are times when we're alone and times we lose ourselves in another. Through it all, the only thing I want is to be myself, whoever that is. It might be the nice, Midwestern boy on one occasion and might be bad boy with a reputation on another. Responsible adult and playful youth. It's all a journey and sometimes I sit in the driver's seat and sometimes I sit back and ride shotgun. I've broken hearts and had mine ripped out and disassembled. I try to relax and enjoy it all and experience everything at least once if I can. It's a short ride, this life, and we should all be able to make the most of it...together.
I'm super easy-going and can have fun in pretty much any situation with most types of people. I'm non-judgmental and treat everyone with respect unless they give me a reason not to. You could call me 'low maintenance' if you like. About the only real turn-offs for me are ignorance, racism, sexism or people who are judgmental of others. I like to find the good first.
And yes, that's my real hair. It's silver. Not blond, and not dyed. Been going grey since 14...

My Interests

Very eclectic tastes...most artistic endeavors interest me, acting in all its forms, currently obsessed with poker, love and use many computers (hip geek), golf, tennis, video games, gadgets, live music, my cat, good friends, good conversation, good food (group the last 3 together - brilliant), cooking (with others is especially fun), thrift store shopping, the beach, hiking, broomball, tarot cards, astrology, tantra, meditation and most metaphysical junk, juggling, movies (seeing them and making them), theatre, art, love, adult swim, good tv, falling for someone, politics and philosophy, fashion, style, las vegas, travelling, singing in the car, interior design, finding the perfect chord, getting my back scratched, pursuing self-actualization, pushing the limits (within reason), people watching, dive bars and swank joints, meeting interesting characters, curtain calls, and anything else that comes my way.

I'd like to meet:

Suprise me. I mean, what does anyone want? Friends who are reliable and real, and a lover who is loyal and honest. Other than that, there's all variety of cool personalities. Of course, some similar interests and beliefs are a bonus, but I'm always willing to engage.

Music:

What can I say? I love music, always have, always will. Playing it, listening to it, diving into it, getting lost in it...Music is life's most pure form of expression IMHO.

I've had bands and have lots of musician friends as well, so I have been to LOTS of live shows over the past 13 years in LA. And they're all REALLY GOOD...seriously. If I ever take any of you mugs to a show, you know you'll hear good music and be entertained. And to promote a few of those people:

The Gluey Brothers
King's X
Michiko
Danny Peck
Michael Sherwood
Circe Link
The Four Postmen

Presently, Danny Peck plays every first Saturday of the month at Genghis Cohen on Fairfax and Melrose. Starting at 9:30 PM, cover is usually $7.

I had previously been obsessed with Mike Doughty, former lead man of Soul Coughing, which I also love. But now I'm in music limbo!

Fav band ever, Pink Floyd... do I listen to them much anymore, not really. If you know who King's X is, I'd say they are still one of my go to CD/MP3 at any given time. I have 80 gigs of MP3's, everything from show tunes to hardcore industrial to classic rock to 80's pop to jazz to ... But I am always looking to expand and find more great music...this is and invitation...

Movies:

Come on, this is too tough! As with music, I love film. I watch them, I act in them, I direct and edit them. Here's a couple I made:
GOT BIC?
..
Zimba the Cat: Episode 1
..
I like all genres. Some films include:
Blade Runner, Clockwork Orange, Wild at Heart, Full Metal Jacket, Garden State, Ghandi, Resevior Dogs, Pixar movies, Mindwalk, Amelie, Delicatessen, Sean of the Dead, the Evil Dead trilogy, Requiem for a Dream, Fight Club, Trainspotting, Akira, American Beauty, Almost Famous, Valley Girl, The Last Starfighter, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, Gothic, Santa Sangre, Repo Man, Brazil, The Cook the Theif his Wife and Her Lover, Dead Ringers, Wierd Science, Breakfast Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovitch, Brazil, Basquiat, Spinal Tap, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Rocky Horror, so many more...Directors: David Lynch, Kubrick, Fincher, Ridley Scott, Cronenberg, Soderberg, Wim Wenders, Terry Gilliam, Sam Raimi, Cassavettes...

Television:

TV is the most powerful media on the planet...and I love it. It's not like I sit around and watch a ton, but especially since having Tivo capabilities and a little portable unit, I'm able to keep up.

Dexter, The Shield, Six Feet Under, 24, Law & Order, Buffy, Angel, Scrubs, Mash, Poker, Deadwood, Oz, Taxi Cab Confessions, Extreme Home Makeover, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab, Family Guy, Simpsons, King of the Hill, CSI, Coupling, Father Ted, Monty Python, politics, documentaries, nature shows, golf, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report rules, Chappelle's Show, so many more.

What I don't watch: Soaps, daytime talk shows, dating reality shows, Fear Factor, Baseball.

Books:

Jitterbug Perfume, The Fountainhead, Unbearable Lightness of Being, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, The entire Dune series, I Claudius, William Shakespeare, philosophy, politics... Too many to mention, but would love any good suggestions...
