Band Members: My name is Jordan Colley, and I'm a musician and songwriter currently pursuing my dreams in Los Angeles, CA. I moved here about a year and a half ago from the Nashville, TN area. I grew up in Memphis, TN, so my influences kind of run the gambit of blues, jazz, country, hard rock, classical, and everything in between. I play guitar primarily, but I also play piano, mandolin, and bass on occasion. I use this myspace page to post demos of songs that I've written and also keep people up to date on the different musical projects I'm involved in. So thanks for stopping by and feel free to contact me if you like.
Influences: Who are your influences? This is always an odd question to answer, because I like such a broad range of music. If you're asking about my early influences, then I would say Led Zeppelin and a lot of the British Invasion stuff. I started playing guitar after watching the Jimmy Page/Robert Plant reunion show on MTV when I was about 13 years old. Jimmy Page was a huge influence on my guitar playing, as I'm sure he has been on a lot of other people.

As I got farther along with guitar, I started to get into more Progressive Rock and Jazz. Around that time, I was listening to a lot of King Crimson, Dream Theater, John Scofield, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Miles Davis. I also started to get a lot more into songwriting and listening to the structure of chord changes and melodies. I started listening to artists like Bob Dylan, Tori Amos, Prince, The Beatles, and Radiohead. From there on, I got into just about everything from Country & Western to Irish Folk Music to Trance and Electronica.

If I had to narrow it all down to a few artists, I think these would be my current Top 10:
1. Led Zeppelin
2. Prince
3. Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
4. Depeche Mode
5. The Beatles
6. VAST
7. Lunasa
8. Faith No More
9. Silverchair
10. Miles Davis
Sounds Like: I don't really know what I sound like yet. This page will mostly focus on my acoustic stuff, which tends to be more of a songwriting exercise for me and depends heavily on whatever my current mood is. Some of it will be instrumental stuff. Other times it will be anything from ballads to more adventurous acoustic music. I'm a big believer that change is constant, so it could be anything at anytime. It all depends.
