My name is Derek, and I work in Chicago as a firefighter. In my spare time, I am an official American Idol Junkie. Naturally, I can't confess this crime to my friends and family, so I thought I'd use myspace to share my American Idol daily thoughts and addictions.I am recently single after a 4 year relationship, and just looking to meet some cool new people to be friends and perhaps more at some point. I work long shifts at the fire station, but always have at least 3 days off in a row, so I enjoy the long weekends around the country. United Airlines is my best friend. I also enjoy playing frisbee with my two dogs, Buster and HotRod. And love to sip on a cocktail, such as a nice Gin and Tonic while unwinding with friends.
