Life interests me, because it is quite often too short, and too capricious. I love reading, of course. Writing - well that goes without saying. I enjoy gardening when I'm in the mood. And I love cooking, because I really love to feed people.
Where do I begin? There are so many interesting people in the world. I enjoy meeting everyone, I thin everyone has a unique story to tell. And you never know when you're going to encounter someone who will say just the thing you needed to hear...and vice versa. Famous people I'd love to meet, in no particular order: Queen Noor, Nelson Mandela, Hillary Clinton, Robert Redford, Nora Roberts, Catherine COulter, Barbara Delinsky, Don Johnston.
I have very eclictic tastes in music. In any given day I'm likely to listen to ABBA, Celine, The Beatles, Rod Stewart, and The Bare Naked Ladies. I like rock, folk, country, and Broadway Show tunes. I enjoy classical music, especially Strauss, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart.
Oh dear. I am afraid that in this category, I am woefully ignorant with regard to current pop culture. I don't watch many movies. There's almost always a book I'd rather be reading. But some movies do stand out in my memory: anything Mr. Redford has been in, as well as Mr. Holland's Opus, The James Bond movies with either Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan, and one of my all time favorites, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas.
From days past, there was Scarecrow and Mrs. King, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission Inmpossible and Bonanza. The West Wing was one of my more recent favorites and I was nearly inconsolable when it ended. These days I watch Stargate:Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, and yes, Survivor.
Everything by Nora Roberts and I don't know how many times I've read the entire J D Robb series. Linda Howard, Catherine Coulter, Barbara Delinsky. I like Julie Garwood's historicals, when I like few historicals. I also like Iris Johansen and Kay Hooper - the suspense they're writing now, and the romance they started out with.
Pierre Eliot Trudeau, because he did what had to be done, and said, "just watch me."; Peter Jennings, because he always got it right; my oldesst son, Christopher because he has never flinched from taking up his responsibilities; and my husband, who has always done his best, and is still here.
