About Me


Hello to all! I was fortunate enough to do disaster relief work in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina with the American Red Cross, FEMA and fitness relief work too (check out the video courtesy of and produced by, Nine Iron Studios). Prior to that, I worked as Frank Shamrock's fitness director at his UFC gym in San Jose. Actually, I lived there at the time.While working with Frank, he filmed me in the UFC cage and we sent it in to that show called Survivor. They called me back several times and had me go to LA to be interviewed and filmed just after I stepped off stage - Paul Love's annual bodybuilding show (Aug 6, 2005). Unfortunately, I only got to the last 50 people before they cut me. That was the day Hurricane Katrina happened. So, I put all of my stuff in storage, hopped on a plane and didn't come back from New Orleans for a year and did my own real life Survivor trip. I have got so many stories to tell! I was able to use the grief process in conjunction with kickboxing, some of which I learned from the American Kick boxing Academy, in San Jose, Ca. ~Javier Mendez~ to help heal some of the victims of Hurricane Katrina emotionally. Talk about a win/win situation - lose fat and turn it into lean muscle mass all the while learning a life saving technique at the same time you are going through the healing process after a tragic loss. Exercise is exponential - it is synergistic, it is the answer !!!!!!! Disaster Relief at its finest (no I am not a divorce lawyer......)

My Interests

Bodybuilding (STEROID FREE! - I AM A LIFETIME, ALL NATURAL BODYBUILDER AND WILL PASS A LIE DETECTOR TEST!- FYI), UFC, behavioral science, science and nutrition, fire fighting, flying R22's, kickboxing, writing, photography, and of course, my kids! AND ~ teaching the concepts of Fitness Relief!

The entire WORLD! I actually met Lee Haney at Paul Love's show - and need to talk to him again. He's a great man!Never succumb to peer pressure - EVER. Patience + Perseverance = You Prevail. Step outside of the box and into the ring. Be unconventionally conventional. Train hard - who cares who's watching! Don't be afraid to try something new ~ just do it. Write your equation for success and know your variables. Utilize the tools available to ensure success - heart rate monitors - manipulate your heart rate and you can achieve any goal you set. ECONOMY OF EMOTION / MOTION - learn it, live it. Every single degree of motion/emotion should go towards efficiency - why would you want to waste your time? Less is more - embrace the concept folks!Fitness Relief~ the easing of burden or distress, such as pain, anxiety, or oppression.....fitness relief is a valuable reactive tool but even more valuable when used daily in one's proactive tool box ~ the effects are exponentially positive in all aspects of life ~

Books:

Love em - knowledge is power baby! A great friend of mine, Gordon La Velle, wrote a book called, "Training for Mass". I highly recommend it. He is currently working on his second book which will be out soon!

Heroes:

My sons - I love those two little guys more than I can say or write! And, my Mom - she survived a kidney transplant - she is as cool as the flip side of my pillow. And, My Dad who survived the loss of his son.
