Marco started playing guitar very young, thanks to his grandfather who was his first teacher. Then he took lessons for classical guitar until at the age of 14 he was shocked listening to the 80’s hard and melodic rock (Van Halen and Dokken above all). After that he bought his first electric guitar and started learning all the songs from his new heroes.
In parallel he found a school for electric guitar to study also different styles, like funky, pop and fusion. Soon he showed first symptoms of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome)...currently keep trying to find a cure..During these years he played in several cover-bands in Milan, preferring not to focus on only one style of music but trying to play all styles (but the favourite one is and always will be AOR and melodic rock).
Not sure which direction in life to take, being a crazy musician or a serious engineer, he decided to carry on both and started living a double life (“damn it, only 24 hours a day!â€).
He moved to Germany in Sept 2005 but he continued to collaborate with his Italian AOR melodic rock band MYLAND, to write and record original killer songs together with his brother (keyboards) and long-time friends.
The first CD titled “The time is over†got some very nice reviews on the web. One track is part of the compilation “Melodic rock is back vol. 8†of the Munich web radio Munich’s hardest hits. (www.munichshardesthits.com).
The new album will be released in Sept 2007 with the title “No man’s land†(www.mylandmusic.com).
He is now playing in a German cover-band, (rock/pop/funky/songs) called 9T4 (www.9t4.de)
