KOCH RECORDS ANNOUNCES NEW DEAL
WITH THE TWISTED GROUP
TO MARKET AND PROMOTE ALL DANCE RELEASES
January 11th, 2007— KOCH Records announces a new partnership with The TWISTED Group to market and promote future dance releases. Some titles slated for release in 2007 are new albums by Carl Cox, Ror-shak, DJ Rekha and more.
The TWISTED Group, co-founded by Mark Davenport and Rob Di Stefano, is at the forefront of the international dance scene with a global roster of talent and a proud history of hits and hitmakers. The company is one of the most important in the dance world, and has launched and/or nurtured some of the genre’s most important talents, including Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Junior Vasquez, Funky Green Dogs/Murk, Superchumbo, Jason Nevins, Peter Rauhofer, Rui Da Silva & DJ Vibe.
Under this new partnership, KOCH dance titles will be co-branded with the TWISTED logo, capitalizing on the historical importance the name conveys. In addition, KOCH will handle North American distribution for all releases from the TWISTED label, which had previously been handled by Caroline, including the debut album from Greek producer/DJ Alex Santer, and the latest in the label’s highly successful TWIST This Pussy compilation series.
KOCH Records President Bob Franks says, “Mark and Rob are two of the best in the dance/electronic world. Together we’ll move forward at 200 bpms!â€
Davenport adds, “Our release schedule represents the superstars of the dance world and I'm confident with our new KOCH partnership we will achieve the goals we have set for 2007.â€
