i would love to have a dinner with dorothy parker, alexandra fyodorovna, barack obama and tom ford. i would get gore vidal to dress up like rasputin and freak out alexandra, and while dorothy and barack engaged in a passionate conversation, tom and i would be making out under their feet.

i like movies. it's a cliche, but 'brokeback mountain' is just about the most perfect film i have ever seen. and i have seen a lot of films-i am on the screening committee for the southwest gay and lesbian film festival in new mexico.
i no longer own a TV. you should try it.
i will read anything by (or have read everything written by) john steinbeck, douglas coupland, colm toibin, michael cunningham, michael chabon, chuck palahniuk, and kurt vonnegut; don't miss etgar keret's 'the bus driver who wanted to be god' and 'JesusLand' by julia scheeres. you should read all of these books instead of watching tv. because, seriously, is 'skating with american idol' really going to do anything postive for your brain?
Anna Politkovskaya, who gave up bodyguards and just wanted to publish the truth, and Lt. Ehren Watada, who refused to fight in a war that is not, and never will be, justified.
