TV Lumiere begins with Federico e Ferruccio Persichini, two brothers from small town outside of Rome. Soon bassist Irene Antonelli and drummer Yuri Rosi join to complete the formation.* TV Lumiere proposes music that vacillates between slow melodies and violent noise.* After recording two demos, in 2001 and 2002, the band begins playing live and finds itself sharing the stage with bands like CALLA, L'ENFANCE ROUGE, DEVASTATIONS, ULAN BATOR, and CHEVREUIL. They also participate in several music festivals, such as TRASPORTI MARITTIMI, ITALIAN PARTY, DISH IT OUT, and the EPHEBIA ROCK FEST. After meeting Amaury Cambuzat (of ULAN BATOR, FAUST, SILVER STATIC etc..) a series of collaborations follow, and the decision to record the band's debut album together. This project begins in August 2003, but not until January 2004 does it reach conclusion. "TV Lumiere," this self-titled album, is released in spring 2005 for the TELE_NOISE.ART label (Venus Distribution). In august 2007 they newly enter the studio in Pozzuoli (Naples) and they release the second album, it has been completed in less than a month and the artistic production has been entrusted to Paolo Messere. The album will be called "Per Amor dell'Oceano", it will come out on SEAHORSE Recordings/ Goodfellas distribution(s) in february 2008... // ITA // "Lo stile lirico dei TV Lumière può essere considerato una sorta di poesia minimalista o concettualista spesso ambientata negli scenari decadenti di fine '800 - inizio '900. Una depressione ispiratrice diffonde melodie lente costruite da chitarre pregevolmente curate, arpeggiate, diffuse e da una linea ritmica ipnotica, morbida e allo stesso tempo incalzante come un assalto di trincea. Atmosfere dark, umori post-rock, echi noise. Stilisticamente vicini a Swans, Sonic Youth, Ulan Bator..." - E' l'inverno del 1999 quando, da un'idea dei fratelli umbri Federico e Ferruccio Persichini, nascono i TV Lumière. Il progetto prende inizialmente vita a Roma con alcuni musicisti della capitale, ma dopo qualche mese, al sopraggiungere delle prime divergenze di carattere stilistico, i due decidono di tornare sui propri passi. Trasferitisi nelle campagne umbro-laziali ritrovano Yuri Rosi, batterista con il quale avevano precedentemente condiviso altri progetti, al basso arriva invece Irene Antonelli, ex chitarra e voce delle "Misty¿". Tornati da un viaggio attraverso la Germania i due contattano Yuri e Irene, si mettono subito al lavoro registrando una serie di demo che procurano loro importanti contatti e così cominciano anche le prime apparizioni live... Suonano in tutta la penisola, aprono i concerti di Ulan Bator, L'Enfance Rouge, Calla, Trumans Water, Chevreuil, Diaframma, Three Second Kiss, Devastations... Nell'agosto del 2003 entrano in studio per la realizzazione del primo disco, la produzione artistica è affidata ad Amaury Cambuzat, leader e membro fondatore degli Ulan Bator. Le registrazioni e i missaggi vengono effettuati in quindici giorni fra Terni e Mezzago (MI) da Amaury Cambuzat e Marco Gaudesi e ad Ottobre, a Milano, viene ultimato il mastering da Carlo Ferrara. Il 13 Maggio 2005 esce finalmente il disco (dall'omonimo titolo "tv lumière") per "Tele_Noise Art/VENUS Distribuzione". - Nel mese di agosto 2007 i TV Lumière entrano nuovamente in studio a Pozzuoli (NA) e realizzano il loro secondo disco, il lavoro viene ultimato in poco meno di un mese, la produzione artistica viene affidata a Paolo Messere. L'album, chiamato "Per Amor dell'Oceano", uscirà a Febbraio 2008 per la SEAHORSE Recordings e verrà distribuito da Goodfellas...
