As well as being a trumpet player, I compose music.
Right now I am in the process of composing music for a danceperformance for one dancer and a overhead-projector.
The performance is titled "Just in Time" and is choreographed by Marika Hedemyr of Crowd Company in Gothenburg.
The date of the premiere is set to the 28th of november (atalante).
I am also the trumpet player and co-leader of the experimental-hardcore-group LÄDER which can be found under www.myspace.com/lader (you can find läder listed in the friend-space) I am recording an album right now with guitar player Gunnar Backman which features Jonny Wartel -sax, Henrik Wartel -drums, GB -fretless guitar and me on trumpet. The name of the group is North/South and we are soon off to a couple of different festivals. (-07-08)
Lately (autumn -06) I’ve made music for an installation exhibited at the museum of world culture in Gothenburg -
I’ve contributed music to the score of the film “Tomorrow never knows†by Kirsi Nevanti which premiered at the International Documentary Film festival (IDFA) in Amsterdam late in November -The film is going over to Japan later this autumn (-07) (Tokyo and Osaka) as a part of a Swedish documentary package from SFI (swedish filminstitute).
I’ve also written music to a dance performance by Crowd Company and worked with a short exhibition of dance with a couple of other dancers. The film is currently shown in Swedish cinemas under the Swedish title "OM MORGONDAGEN VET MAN ALDRIG". The film is going to Japan in late October and early November -07. It will be a part of a documentary-package called "Swedish documentary now" from the Swedish filminstitute that will visit Tokyo and Osaka. The fourth song “GRAVEL" is an intro to a song I wrote for a performance and it features a more ordinary approach to trumpet playing. All of these songs are excerpts of the actual pieces.
