POLICROMIA project was born nearly at the end of 2003.
Even if the influences of the band's members have run through hard rock, metal and progressive sound, the project was simply the idea of 4 musicians to voice sensations and images without conceptual and musical schemes.
Lyrics are in Italian, that’s not to fall into the standard cliché imposed by hard rock music (English and American people, don’t have trouble!… after all, we are Italian!)
However, this creates particular sound without getting far from the audience’ taste!
The band has yet composed 7 songs and some others are under construction.
Four original songs have been recorded at the Elnor Studio and the demo-disc titled “La Danza dei Sogni†took life during the hot summer of 2005. It contains a live track too, recorded at the Transylvania Live in Milan.
Since 2004 Policromia are playing on stages of pubs, clubs and beer fests, playing their compositions and cover of classic hard rock and metal artists like: Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Van Halen, J.Hendrix, Queen, Europe, Metallica, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden…All played by the sound of the band!

“POLICROMIA†è un progetto nato verso la fine del 2003, partendo dall’idea di esprimere sensazioni e immagini senza porsi schemi concettuali o musicali, anche se le influenze dei 4 musicisti hanno spinto attraverso sonorità hard rock, metal e progressive.
I testi dei brani sono in italiano, scelta adottata in parte proprio per non cadere negli standard che avrebbe potuto imporre il genere. Il risultato crea sonorità particolari senza però allontanarsi dal pubblico.
Quattro dei sette brani già composti dalla band sono stati registrati nello studio Elnor di Novate Milanese durante la calda estate del 2005, dando vita al cd-demo “La danza dei Sogniâ€. Il demo comprende inoltre una bonus track registrata dal vivo al Transylvania live di Milano. Altri brani sono ancora in cantiere.
Dal 2004 i Policromia suonano in giro per locali e feste della birra aggiungendo ai loro brani originali, pezzi classici di artisti hard rock e metal come: Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Van Halen, J.Hendrix, Queen, Europe, Metallica, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden… Il tutto interpretato secondo il sound della band.
