RISING WIND

Rising wind were founded in may on the 23rd 2006 in Castellanza, a small town in the province of Varese, by the drummer Antonio “bam Bam” Delaria and the bassist Slevin Simon. The former line-up was composed also by Freddie Avalon as singer and Matteo Vinci as guitarrist. The band decided soon to add a further guitarrist, therefore it was the turn of Jack Hammer, an old friend of the two founders. The classic hard 'n heavy line-up was defined, but a few weeks later, Matteo Vinci decided to leave the project before the time. The band kept on playing for some more days with only one guitar, trying anyway different guitarrists. Eventually the band chose Lou Wild, who was active in a classic rock band called White Summer. In July on the 26th 2006 the line-up was ready. Rising Wind decided soon to take part in the musical contest of Saloon Jesse James in Saronno and to take up further music classes with Wine Spirit's bassist Alberto “El Guapo” Bollati. During their first year Rising Wind have moved their first steps all over the local live scene, on stages like the Black Horse Pub of Cermenate (where also great names like Paul Di Anno and Paul Gilbert have played!!), the Zoe Club and the Rock 'N Roll in Milan, but also the rock discotheque Nautilus and many more... During the Christmas period of 2006 the band recorded a demo cover at the Diana Studio of the friend and sound engineer Axhell, but overall Rising Wind began writing and playing on stage their own songs.

I Rising Wind vennero fondati il 23 maggio 2006 a Castellanza, cittadina nella provincia di Varese, dal batterista Antonio "Bam-Bam" Delaria e dal bassista Slevin Simon. La prima formazione, oltre ai due fondatori, vide alla voce Freddie Avalon e alla chitarra Matteo Vinci. Presto la band decise di aggiungere un'ulteriore chitarra: Jack Hammer, amico di sempre di Slevin e Bam-Bam. La classica formazione hard 'n' heavy era dunque definita, ma poco dopo il primo chitarrista Matteo Vinci decise di comune accordo con il resto della band di lasciare il progetto anzitempo. La band proseguì per qualche settimana con una chitarra sola, provando comunque diversi chitarristi: la loro scelta cadde su Lou Wild, che al tempo militava in un gruppo rock classico, i White Summer. La formazione era dunque definita: era il 6 luglio 2006. Presto la band decise di partecipare al contest musicale del Saloon Jesse James di Saronno, e di intraprendere un corso di musica d'insieme con il bassista dei Wine Spirit, Alberto "El Guapo" Bollati. Durante il loro primo anno di vita i Rising Wind hanno mosso i primi passi sulla scena live locale, su palchi come il Black Horse di Cermenate (già calcati da grandi nomi come Paul Di Anno e Paul Gilbert!), hanno registrato una demo di cover al Diana Studio del produttore e amico Axhell, ma soprattutto hanno scritto e suonato nei concerti pezzi propri.
