BOBBY NOBODY is a Copenhagen-based four-piece band delivering six-stringed pop rock of the highest caliber. The protagonists’ wide musical backgrounds ensure that there is always the threat of the unexpected right around the next corner – but never interfering with the strong melodies you’ll find yourself humming long after the music has stopped.
Sam Brox was born and raised in Manchester, England, the son of legendary blues singers Annette and Victor Brox. At the age of 19 he was signed to Polydor UK as a member of the band Dust Junkys. In the summer of 2000, Sam moved to Copenhagen, Denmark. Here, he found time to play with several bands, alongside working as a session guitarist for Erann DD.
It was also in Copenhagen he met the enthusiastic drummer, Karsten Krauw. The two of them searched high and low for the missing pieces of the puzzle. They finally found Nicolai Holst, a well-traveled guitarist/singer/songwriter and the gifted bass-player, Jacob Klitgaard. The four of them immediately found common ground, and Bobby Nobody was born!
The first demo from the band was released in August 2007 and was off to a flying start as it won the accolade of "Demo of the month" in Denmark's largest music magazine, GAFFA.
New material is continuously introduced to the set-list, as well as new concert dates.
"I wouldn't be surprised if, within a year or two BOBBY NOBODY was awarded
'single of the week' on P3 (Denmarks National Radio). It's a collection of hit-potential songs, that will take them as far as they want to go!"
/ Ulrik Lauritzen - mymusic.dk (DK's largest music site)
"Danceable, catchy, surprising and believable.
There are many reasons why this easily could be one
of the new years big surprises!"
/ Hansen - GAFFA (DK's largest musicmagazine)
"Bobby Nobody is definitely worth a visit.
Should be enjoyed loud and in the company of another thing
Copenhagen has in common with Manchester - BEER! Sam Brox ROCKS!"
/ Felix Smith, Journalist/Radiohost on Denmarks National Radio (DR P3)
