About Me

Sam Brox was born in Manchester, England, the son of legendary blues singers Annette and Victor Brox. In his youth, he loved nothing more than being surrounded by music and musicians and it wouldn't have been out of the ordinary to see him sat on the front of the stage whilst his parents performed. It wasn't until after his 11th birthday that the bug truly bit him however, when his older sister Buffy taught him how to play "Hey Joe" on guitar. After that there was no looking back.At the tender age of 18 he joined the Manchester group Dust Junkys, with whom he recorded an album and four singles, released by Polydor UK. The band toured the UK and Europe, alongside acts such as Black Grape and Fun Lovin Criminals, before disbanding in 1999 due to personnel problems. In the summer of 2000 Sam moved to Copenhagen after falling in love. After taking his time to settle in and learn the language, he started to think about music again. After releasing the single "Fade and Falter" which was co-written and performed with his sister Buffy, he took a job working as a session guitarist with Danish soul singer Erann DD and subsequently toured with him from 2003-2005.Today, alongside producing and playing guitar with up and coming act Spinkel , Sam has formed his own band Bobby Nobody and can be found playing shows in Scandinavia.
